As technology develops, do you think it will ever make sense to say that a computer "knows" things?

As the years go on technology is drastically getting developed. Technology is developing due to the influences caused my humans. Technology also has an influence on science and mathematics. Technology is developed my humans using their mind, so the information you find there are all the inputs given by us humans. Computer systems, phones, internet and all electronic devices come under technology. In some cases, you can say that computer “knows” things like, when it saves and it knows all the files you have saved and it gives access to the internet which supposedly is said “knows” everything as you can find all kinds of information on it. But overall the information that was input into the internet and the program of the computer system was made and designed by humans.

Many machines, computer systems and robots have “AI”, which stands for “Artificial Intelligence”. It refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programed to think like humans and mimic their actions. It is also applied to any device that does the process of learning and problem solving. AI is used in shops, surveillance, production and much more activities. Robots are specifically programmed to do jobs that are dangerous or nearly impossible for humans to do, for example, going near an active volcano and examining it.

AI can be very useful in performing specific tasks but do not have a capacity to “know” anything other than what the algorithm or program is designed to do. These machines do not have consciousness like what humans have. For example, robots are used in hospitals to treat and operate patients, these machines are only programmed to do a particular operation in a particular way, what if something wrong was happening on the patient’s body which was not programmed? The machine cannot solve the issue, but a human can do it because he “knows” what to do in any kind of situation that comes like this.
