  Technological developments have significantly affected almost every part of life. Modern technology has helped a lot in the improvement of archaeology. Archaeology is the study of the human past using material remains. This opened up more opportunities to discover about the past. Archaeologists use advanced excavation techniques, enabling greater recovery of fragile artifacts. They use technology that ranges from lidar to x-ray guns that help them view the sites without disturbing the soil. Google Earth helps to spot out new sites to be examined by the archaeologists. Does our culture determine what we know?

What we know is called as knowledge. Culture is believed to influence the knowledge and it also helps in determining which knowledge is appropriate to share with whom and when. All you know is the result of the language you learned and the ethical values you learnt in the culture you were born. The culture and the lifestyle we live in has changed the way we look at certain things and how we evaluate them.  Manners, languages, customs, traditions, body gestures and preferences are determined by the culture followed in different regions on earth. A small part of what we know might be determined by the culture but mostly knowing what you know is up you to experience and learn.  In other cases, it is known that culture can shape the way we view the world.
